Path of reflection
With the creation of this path a historical connection path between the Hans-Thoma Bernau community and the Todtmoos place of pilgrimage has been re-discovered. This connection was used greatly in earlier times by traders, pilgrims and citizens of both communities.
As a result of the introduction of picnic areas, benches, the hanging of new and restauration of former signposts, as well as the linking of the tourist attractions in both towns, this path is a special attraction in our region for both fans of nature and walkers with an interesi in art and culture.
Tourist attractions in the communities: St. John parish church, Hans-Thoma Art Museum, Resenhof Holzschnefler and farm musuem and craftwork businesses in Bernau - “Zur lieben Frau” (our lady) pilgrimage church, local heritage museum, mine, beer and ice cream cellar in Todtmoos.
Starting point in Bernau: car park above the resort park (St. John parish church) in the Bernau district of Innerlehen.
Length of the connection route ca. 14km.
