International dog sled races in Bernau Highlands
For over 30 years Bernau im Schwarzwald has been the venue of the international dog sled races and is one of the pioneers of this sport.
In the meantime Bernau has developed itself to be the centre of european dog sled racing.
The husky sport elite appreciate the ideal conditions, which they can find here.
Bernau has been the venue four times for the European Championships and in 2003 for the World Championships for the ultimate dicipline, the medium distance (47km).
