Resort tax
The Bernau im Schwarzwald community charges a resort tax in order to partly cover the investment made in creation and maintenance of recreational facilities as well as support services for guests.
The following have been financed from the resort tax income:
- KONUS (free of charge usage of buses and trains in the Black Forest),
- Walking route network in summer, 114km
- Countryside maintenance
- Resting benches
- Walking route network in winter, 40km / prepared
- Cross-country skiing tracks
- Resort park
- Events
- Guest support services
The resort tax in the Bernau im Schwarzwald community costs € 1.80 per person and day for adults and youths from the age of 16 years. For children between 6 and 15 years the tax costs € 0.90. Children up to the age of 5 years are exempt from the resort tax, as well as the second and third child aged from 6 to 15 years.

- Adults and youths from the age of 16 years: € 1.80
- Children between 6 and 15 years: € 0.90
