Holschnefler Day
Experience old craftwork and tradition firsthand - at the traditional Holschnefler Day in Resenhof.
On 14th and 15th August are workshops are occupied and you can watch the old craftsmen over the shoulder. The 1789-built Resenhof turns into a real working museum and this original High Black Forest single-roofed barn is filled with life. In front of the impressive hipped roof a spruce trunk is cut into sections and split into wooden blocks for the pail makers. Pail makers, mouse trap makers, shingle makers, brush makers and bellow makers give an insight into handicraft professions, which were popular during great-grandfather’s time.
Additionally, nature park market with regional products on the grounds and craftsmen in Forum erlebnis:holz both from 11:00 until 18:00.
Arts and craft - demonstrations
Local costume embroidery, spinning wool, weaving straw shoes, carving wood, glass-blowing, painting with hot pokers, creating straps for bells, etc

on Sunday 15th August at 11:00 in front of the Resenhof:
Concert with the Bernau church choir. Songs about the cattle and vegetables for Holzschnefler Day and the nature park market.
Also:
Create schnapps in the old distillery, see demostrations of forest work with horses, fete for oldtimer tractors. The Bernau “Trachtenvereine” (local costume associations) provide the entertainment and the Association of Bernau Musuems the refreshments.
