Herzogenhorn
The 1,415m high Herzogenhorn is outstanding in every way, as walking destination and as viewpoint. The local mountain for the community of Bernau im Schwarzwald has the second highest Black Forest summit, with amazing views into the Benau Highlands, the Southern Black Forest valleys, to the Feldberg and Belchen and even to the snow-covered summit of the Alps. Those who wish to enjoy this mountain’s views and peacefulness have to climb it themselves. The Herzogenhorn lies in the Feldberg nature reserve.
Belchen
The third in line is the 1,414m high Belchen. As a large dome it projects above the countryside and offers stunning views into the valleys, to the Alps and Vosges. The nature reserve is around 16km² large across the Belchen. With the “Belchenbahn“ cable car you can comfortably reach the 1,356m mountain station in five minutes.
