Picturesque Colmar lies in nearby Alsace, a small French town which is over 1000 years old. Particularly worth a visit are the romantic old town and the Musée d'Unterlinden, which housed the famous Isenheim Altarpiece, which was completed by the german painter Matthias Grünewald in 1515.

Arrival
From Bernau via Präg to Geschwend. Then in the direction of Todtnau on the B317. In Todtnau turn left towards Freiburg/Oberried. Follow this road until Kirchzarten. Continue on the B31 to Freiburg. In Freiburg take the B3 in the direction of Colmar.
